The Benton Volunteer Fire Company (BVFC) is headquartered in the Borough of Benton in rural northeast Pennsylvania. We are an all volunteer organization that was originally chartered in 1932 and currently operates with nearly 30 active members. In 2012 we responded to 485 calls, 396 were EMS and 89 were fire calls. We provide a full range of fire suppression, rescue, EMS, and community education services to the 4,500 residents of Benton Borough, Benton Township, Jackson Township, Fishing Creek Township, and Stillwater Borough under contract. We also provide mutual aid coverage to Orange Township, Greenwood Township, Pine Township, Millville Borough, Jordan Township, Huntington Township, Fairmount Township, and New Columbus Borough serving an additional 9,500 residents totaling 100 square miles.
Our 1982 Engine is in need of replacement. Rough estimates on a replacement come in around $550,000. (Yes, Firetrucks are very expensive!) If you would like to donate specifically to this fund, please mail us a check with "Apparatus Fund" in the memo. Thank you for all of your support.
