Benton Vol. Fire Company

We have recieved notice that we have been awarded a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters grant in the amount of $76,190.00.  The money will be put towards the purchase of new hydraulic rescue tools, lift bags, and vehicle stabilization devices.  The new tools will replace outdated equipment and provide us with the capabilities to extricate patient's from newer vehicles containing strong alloy metals that our current rescue tools cannot penetrate.

The new website has been getting good reviews.  We recieved this email today:

"This web site is so impressive even down here in Norcross, Ga. All of you that have extended your leadership to so many people in the Benton area and probably beyond. I hope people do recogonize in taking the time to thank all of you in risking your lives to help others in need when duty calls."

Thanks to all of our supporters.  It's always nice to get a thank you once in a while.

We've had quite a bit of progress around the station this week.  The work on the social hall is getting closer to being finished, our new commercial refrigerator is here and after a few hours of work, it's made it's way to the kitchen.  The new stove should be here soon.  Truck maintenance continues.  And, our new website has had 80 unique visitors over the last 7 days.  Training takes place tonight.  The juniors are looking forward to using the air packs.  Pictures to be posted soon.

Welcome to the new and improved website for the Benton Vol. Fire Company.  You'll notice all the same content as the old content and some new features such as a member's login area (Please Register), photo albums, and a calendar to track upcoming events.  This site is still under construction and will continue to improve over the next few weeks and months.  Members will have privileges to upload photos, add calendar events, and comment on other member's posts.  So please register!
